How to Play

The Map

Each act is a branching path from a safe starting Combat node up to that act's Boss. Pick your route one node at a time — you can only see and choose among the nodes directly ahead of you.

• ⚔ Combat — a standard fight.
• ☠ Elite — a tougher fight, but guarantees a relic.
• ◈ Event — a narrative choice with a risk/reward tradeoff.
• $ Shop — spend Whispers on cards, a relic, or removing a card from your deck.
• ✡ Rest — heal 30% of your max HP, or remove a card. Always the last node before a Boss.
• ☾ Boss — mandatory, ends the act. Defeat all 3 to win the run.

Combat

You get 3 Energy and a hand of 5 cards each turn. Playing a card costs Energy equal to the number shown on it. When you're done, click End Turn.

The enemy always tells you its next move one turn ahead (shown below its HP bar), so you can plan around it — react to what's coming, not what already happened.

• Block — absorbs incoming damage, then clears at the start of your next turn.
• Vulnerable — the target takes +50% damage.
• Weak — the target deals -25% damage.
• Power cards don't go to your discard pile — they stay active for the rest of that combat, triggering their effect at the start of every one of your turns.
• Your deck reshuffles automatically from your discard pile whenever you'd draw with an empty draw pile.

Between Fights

Winning a Combat or Elite offers a choice of 1 of 3 new cards for your deck (or skip). Elites also grant a relic — a passive effect that lasts the rest of the run. Shops sell cards, a relic, and card removal for Whispers, earned from fights.

Resume Codes

Dying ends the run for good — but any time you're not mid-combat (on the map, in a shop, etc.), you can grab a Resume Code to pick this exact run back up later, even on another device.
